Requirements
- Operating System: Windows 10 or higher
- Browser: Latest version of Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome recommended
- Installation File: HomeShelf-Setup-x.x.x.exe
Installation Steps
- Run the Installation File
Double-click the HomeShelf-Setup-x.x.x.exe file. - Select Language and Install
Choose the language you want to use, then click the install button. - Run the Program
After installation is complete, launch HomeShelf from the Start menu or desktop icon.
Add Folders and Start Server
- Add Forlder
Choose the actual folder path on your computer.
Click the 'Add Folder' button to register the folder in the list.
Type the name of the folder you want to view, e.g., Movies, Photos. - Repeat Adding Folders
Add as many folders as needed. - Start Server
After adding all folders, click the Start Server button.
How to Access
- Open Browser : Open Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome.
- Enter Address : Enter the server address shown in the launcher into the address bar and connect.
- Browse and Open Files
Find and click the desired files on the browser screen to play or open them.
File Browsing and Searching
- Select the desired folder from the left panel.
- Click on files in the list to open or play them.
- Use the search function to quickly find files by name.
Server Management Procedures
- To use HomeShelf, click 'Start Server' in the launcher.
- When finished, return to the launcher and click 'Stop Server' to close it.
Basic Troubleshooting Steps
- Restart the Program
Close the HomeShelf launcher and run it again. - Check Folder Existence
Make sure the registered folders still exist on your PC. - Retry Browser Access
Open a new browser tab or restart the browser and try connecting again. - Restart Your PC
If needed, restart your computer.
